Although our cover may seem unusual, this issue naturally focuses on technical topics. One of these is data management. It can be a complete mystery that needs to be unravelled and organised. The result is a well-organised structure that makes work more effective, improving efficiency and productivity: Page 58. 

Expert insights into PET recycling can be found in a captivating interview with leading specialists from ALPLA, Husky Technologies, Indorama Ventures and Resilux, which begins on page 46.

Returning to our cover: I would particularly like to recommend the first instalment of our interview series ‘Women in the PET Business’. It stems from a photograph taken at our PETnology Europe conference in June 2026, which shows almost all the women who attended. I have known many of these women for a long time; of some I know, and of others I suspect, that they all have their very own stories, their unique experiences and their individual perspectives. 

This led me to ask: Wouldn’t it be interesting to explore these experiences and draw out some insights? What can this series achieve? 

• It can certainly broaden horizons,
• With a bit of luck, it might contribute to good or better collaboration within teams,
• Ideally, it could improve results. 

We’re kicking off the series with Tania Ferlin, Director, Sustainability Advocacy & Customer Experience at Husky Technologies™. I also had the opportunity to meet three PET businesswomen from MarCom and Technology at SIPA: page 6 onwards.

I hope you enjoy reading this issue and find plenty of inspiration.
