New plant
Fonte Platina, located in Águas da Prata, São Paulo, Brazil, has invested in new technologies, such as the EBS 4 K ERGON stretch-blow moulder, recently supplied by SMI through its subsidiary SMI DO BRASIL for the production of 0.31 L and 0.51 L PET bottles (with petaloid or flat bottom).
The new plant, designed according to the strictest environmental standards, responds to the company’s needs to make use of socially responsible systems for the production of PET bottles of still and carbonated water.
The constant investment in new equipment, together with strict controls and effective partnerships between customers, suppliers and collaborators, has allowed Fonte Platina plants to put on the market high-quality products, sold under a wide range of labels.

The Brazilian company continues to innovate in the premium and gourmet water segment, using cutting-edge technologies that give priority to energy saving. The water in 0.51 L and 0.31 L PET bottles, produced by SMI EBS 4 K ERGON stretch-blow moulder, is marketed with labels under Água Platina brand, as well as under labels depicting different themed pictures, thus becoming a customized communication tool capable of conveying messages, advertising an event, making a brand popular and standing out in the market.
Thanks to the new EBS 4 K ERGON compact stretch-blow moulder, capable of producing up to 8,000 bottles/hour, Fonte Platina has achieved greater automation for the production process, a higher efficiency and at the same time a reduction in the consumption of electricity and compressed air.
The presence of the SMI DO BRASIL branch has represented a key element for the collaboration between Fonte Platina and SMI, as this enables to provide immediate and constant technical support.
