Since 2001 SMI is constantly committed to providing Chinese customers with fast and efficient local support to meet the requirements of a rapidly evolving market.

Through the branch SMI Machinery Beijing Co. Ltd., the company manages the technical and sales requirements of approximately one thousand made in Italy packaging plants supplied to hundreds of companies operating in the food and beverage industry.

SMI local facility is based in the district of Daxing, south of Beijing, an important logistic and industrial point that boasts the largest airport in the world.

The staff, currently consisting of 12 people, coordinated by Corrado Tripi (general director of the company), offers competence and professionalism in the daily activity of customer care for the requirements of technical assistance, spare parts supply, maintenance and new applications.

Competence and professionalism are unquestionable strengths of the company based in Beijing in the management of complex projects, such as the recent installation of the ECOBLOC® ERGON integrated blowing-filling-capping system within the production plant of Huihuang United (Tianjin) Food Co.

When Chinese food and beverage manufacturers decide to invest in a new bottling or packaging plant, they pay great attention not only to the technological content of the supplied solution, but also to the local presence of its partners and to the after-sales support that they can ensure. For this reason, SMI has heavily invested in this area, founding the company SMI Machinery Beijing Co. Ltd.
