Visitors will be welcome to explore how PET films can support ‘right first time' packaging decisions as uncertainty around PPWR implementation continues.
The team will share its key focus on the shift from metallised films to coloured and transparent PET structures, improving sortability while maintaining packaging performance. RETAL Baltic Films will also present developments in mono high-barrier PET films with improved sealability, building on recent EU-funded R&D projects aimed at maintaining compatibility with existing recycling systems.
Further innovations include tray-to-tray rPET films, supporting higher-value circular loops for thermoformed packaging and helping reduce reliance on virgin material will also be shared.
