PET REFINE TECHNOLOGY, a group company of JEPLAN, has announced that its recycled material HELIX™, which it manufactures and sells, has been adopted for 1-liter PET bottles used in “KIRIN Home Tap”, a product sold by Kirin Brewery.

PET REFINE TECHNOLOGY uses its proprietary PET chemical recycling technology to break down used PET bottles and other materials to the molecular level and remove impurities and dyes to produce and sell HELIX™, a recycled PET resin with the same quality as petroleum-based products.

In its Kirin Group Plastics Policy, the Kirin Group has set a goal of using recycled resin for 50% of the PET resin used in Japan by 2027.
