Amcor announces Board Chair transition

Amcor announced that Graeme Liebelt will not stand for re-election and will retire from the Company’s Board of Directors at the end of his current term as a director at Amcor’s annual meeting of stockholders on Nov. 11, 2026. Mr. Liebelt has served as Chairman of Amcor plc and its predecessor company for nearly 13 years.

The Board has elected Tom Long, an independent non-executive director of the Board since 2017, and former Chief Executive Officer of MillerCoors, LLC, to assume the Chairman role upon Mr. Liebelt's retirement. Mr. Long previously served as CEO of Miller Brewing Company prior to the 2008 merger of Miller and Coors. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Wolverine Worldwide, Inc.

“It has been a privilege to serve as Chairman through a period of significant transformation for the Company,” said Mr. Liebelt. “I enjoyed working alongside this talented leadership team to strengthen Amcor’s global leadership position, enhance the product portfolio and expand capabilities in innovation and sustainability. I am confident in Amcor’s future, and believe the Board, led by Tom, will continue to guide the Company successfully.”
