Since becoming the association’s President in 2022, Mr. Pasquale has been an ardent supporter of circular economy within the beverage sector, promoting effective collection through deposit refund systems and closed-loop recycling to maximise the use of high-quality recycled materials in beverage packaging.

It is an honour for me to represent a sector with strong and genuine sustainability and social economic credentials, providing natural and healthy hydration, and sustaining jobs and local services in many rural areas across Europe. I look forward to continuing the excellent collaboration with the NMWE board, the members, the secretariat and the wider community.”
Under his leadership, NMWE, representing over 500 producers and more than 900 production sites across Europe, has continued to promote sustainable source management and environmental protection, recognising the unique bond between natural mineral and spring waters and the natural environments from which they originate.
As President, Alessandro Pasquale will continue to lead NMWE in its mission to protect and promote natural mineral and spring waters, while strengthening the sector’s contribution to sustainable water management, biodiversity protection, circularity and healthy hydration.
