Labelling Technology

Argentine company Refres Now goes for Sacmi OPERA roll-fed technology

Recent orders have seen the number of labellers installed at the model La Matanza plant - one of the largest and most modern in Latin America - rise to 8.

High speed, advanced design, label changeover and format flexibility: these are the key features of Sacmi roll-fed technology, which has now scored another success thanks to recent investment decisions by Refres Now, a leading Argentinian company in the beverage sector.

Present on the market with an array of brands in both the soft-drink and bottled water sectors (e.g. Manaos, Pleasure, Villa Manaos, La Bichy Now and F-Nandito VII), the company sees its base in La Matanza, in the province of Buenos Aires, as a model factory. Indeed, its cutting-edge technology makes it one of the largest, most advanced bottling plants in all South America.

Two labellers were recently supplied; these join the 6 Sacmi roll-fed solutions already in use at the company, installed over the years to ensure maximum efficiency and cope with growing volumes and high output rates. These two new Sacmi machines (OPERA 400 RF 30 T) will be inserted on the company's number 9 and number 10 bottling lines and will, respectively, be used to label bottles in the 500ml - 2.5 litre and 600ml - 3 litre formats.

Both feature labelling stations for the application of complete wrap-around labels and can reach application speeds of 50,000 bph, with minimum label and format changeover times. It is this performance and flexibility, together with the advanced assistance and supportservices, that has, over the years, reinforced the firm's partnership with Sacmi which, thanks to this latest order, now strengthens its position on the strategic South American market further.
