VALSER introduces labelfree bottles

0:59 min Bottle development and design
Steinhausen, Switzerland

VALSER becomes the first swiss mineral water brand to dispense with labels. This means the brand can reduce the amount of packaging material used and take another step towards the full circular economy.

VALSER gets people talking with another innovation in the area of sustainability. It was the first Swiss mineral water to use bottles made from 100% recycled PET (rPET). Additional breakthroughs were made with the use of COfrom the air from, Climeworks and the brand’s climate-neutral certification.

Less packaging, more sustainability

Now, by dispensing with the label, VALSER has reached another milestone along the path to sustainability and a circular economy. The first VALSER labelfree propositions – VALSER Sparkling, VALSER Still and VALSER Still Calcium & Magnesium – are now available and being tested on the market. Dispensing with labels enables a further reduction in the amount of packaging material used. This means less waste and a reduction in CO2 emissions.

The product information and logo are embossed into the bottle. The barcode required for retail sale is now printed on top of the lid.

And it’s not just the simple and fresh design with improved ergonomics that stands out, but also the new size of 750 ml – ideal for at home and on the go.

''In our view, labelfree bottles are the future. With VALSER, Coca-Cola HBC Switzerland is once again setting the standard with innovations for sustainable packaging.'' - Thomas Krennbauergeneral, Manager, Coca-Cola HBC Switzerland.
