The move supports PTI’s continued growth while honoring the expertise and relationships that shaped its European roots - PTI has relocated its European headquarters to Luxembourg, marking a pivotal step in the company’s continued evolution and long-term growth across the European packaging market.

The move positions PTI in a modern facility designed to support expanded technical capabilities, customer collaboration and training initiatives. Luxembourg’s central location, strong logistics access, and supportive international business environment further enhance PTI’s ability to serve partners efficiently throughout Europe.

“Luxembourg offers several advantages that align with our commercial priorities, including closer proximity to many of our key European customers, improved access to major logistics corridors, and a highly supportive business environment for international companies,” says Raymond Semaan, Business Development Manager, PTI Luxembourg.

Honoring PTI’s Swiss Legacy

PTI’s European journey began in 1998 in Lausanne, Switzerland, where it was established to expand package and materials development services for PTI’s European customers. In 2000, operations moved to Yverdon-les-Bains to meet the growing need for advanced testing and analytical laboratory capabilities.

For more than two decades, Yverdon-les-Bains served as the foundation of PTI’s work and relationships in Europe. The organization’s reputation was built by a dedicated group of engineers, scientists, and packaging specialists whose expertise in materials science, package performance, and analytical testing shaped PTI’s European presence.

Their contributions remain an important part of PTI’s history and identity.

“PTI’s history reflects the work of highly skilled professionals who helped establish our technical capabilities and long-standing industry partnerships,” Morris De Marchi, COO and GM, says. “That foundation continues to guide how we operate and serve our customers today.”

Continuity of Expertise, Commitment and Service

Today, PTI in Europe is recognized as an EPBP and RecyClass preferred laboratory. These designations are reinforced by PTI’s deep expertise in materials science, package integrity and performance evaluation — a combination of laboratory capability, technical rigor, trust and consistency that has long defined PTI’s European operations.

While the location has changed, PTI’s mission has not.

The company remains committed to delivering the same scientific integrity, analytical excellence, and customer partnership that European clients have relied on for decades.

Transitions of this scale carry both history and opportunity. PTI expresses sincere appreciation to the individuals who helped establish and grow PTI’s presence in Europe over the years.

This relocation represents not a departure from PTI’s identity, but a continuation of it — carrying forward the same standards, values and technical expertise into a new environment designed to support the future of packaging innovation.

“The country’s multilingual talent pool and strong regulatory framework further enhance our ability to innovate and serve partners efficiently,” Semaan says.

“PTI looks forward to continuing its partnerships across Europe and to supporting customers from its new home in Luxembourg,” De Marchi says.
