Otto Hofstetter India is expanding its Indian office and production site. In response to the growing interest in high-performance moulds for food packaging in the Indian market, the daughter company of the Swiss mould manufacturer Otto Hofstetter AG is in the process of building a bigger state-of-the-art production facility in Bangalore.

Otto Hofstetter India was founded in 2001. Originally set up as a technical office to support the headquarters in Uznach, Switzerland, it has grown into a full-scale production facility with 15 employees headed by CEO Joshi N Suresh. Since 2012, Otto Hofstetter India has focused on the design and construction of moulds for thin-walled food packaging exclusively for the Indian market. With the enlargement of the production facility, now underway, mould manufacturing capacity is expected to triple in the course of 2023.

This June, CEO Otto Hofstetter and CSO Stefan Zatti visited the new site for the official laying of the foundation stone, with a blessing ceremony performed by a priest. Due to the global pandemic, it had been some time since the headquarters executives had been able to visit the Indian office, and the event was a great opportunity not only to inspect the new site but also meet with Otto Hofstetter India employees.
