Crystalliser LUXOR HDC   In the plastics industry the processing of regrind materials takes on an increasingly significant role - not least because of cost pressure and economic restraints. This is why Motan has been supplying customised PET crystallisation systems for years, which use expensive energy very economically. With the standard series LUXOR HDC and LUXORBIN, Motan offers a professional solution demonstrating competence in the matter of crystallisation. In particular, the units are suitable for throughputs from 80 to 900 kg/h which are used for in-line thermoforming production and all manufacturing processes around PET and PLA.With regard to process engineering, Motan is geared to the requirements of its customers. Users do not only demand energy-saving systems but expect reliable, intelligently controlled systems which can be adapted to the needs of the processor. As with all Motan LUXOR drying systems, the crystalliser series LUXOR HDC and its agitator bins type LUXORBIN C are of modular design. The design concept offered by Motan meets the demand for varying material throughputs. Excessive material flow reduces crystallisation quality, therefore the material feed is limited automatically in order to maintain the excellence of the crystallisation process. As a standard feature, Motan crystallisers are equipped with exhaust air filter and pneumatically operated slide gate at the bin outlet. The agitator arms and stators are designed with a very large buckling resistance. If, however, the forces in the agitator bin are too high, for example, if the material coagulates, the agitator motors switch off automatically, thus damage to the agitator, stators or the drive are eliminated.Additional equipment, such as heat exchangers, ½ level sensors, rotary valves, cyclones, (for very dusty materials), as well as suction devices for material recovery, is available to suit various applications.Operators do not have to be expertsAn easy to use control completes the overall concept. The proven control using a touch screen and self-explaining image-guided operator interface helps to avoid operating errors. With the Ethernet based interface option, the crystallisers can be integrated in the Motan CONTROLnet. Centrally located, for example in the shift supervisor's office, the units can be easily controlled and monitored.Cleaning and maintenance are easy as well – and the split bin cone allows easy access to the lower part. Large cross section lower bearings facilitate unobstructed material discharge.LUXOR HDC crystallisers save a considerable quantity of energy through built-in blowers controlled by exhaust air temperature for air flow regulation and the heat exchangers option. An additional energy saving feature: The frequency controlled blowers continuously adapt the air flow to the material feeding temperature. Finally, the positive feature of the open process management is to be mentioned: The low relative moisture of the process air results in good material pre-drying and minimises the hydrolytic decomposition of the material during crystallisation.

Users do not only demand energy-saving systems but expect reliable, intelligently controlled systems which can be adapted to the needs of the processor. As with all Motan LUXOR drying systems, the crystalliser series LUXOR HDC and its agitator bins type LUXORBIN C are of modular design.
