MINICOLOR V with the new VOLU MC control   Are you looking for a technical solution for a specific application in your manufacturing process? Visit the Motan booth and see for yourself the versatility of the ancillary equipment in the pavilion. Clean room technology is not only used in medical engineering, but also in other highly sensitive fields such as for manufacturing optical media (CD, DVD or Blu-ray), lenses, display and light modules or in the automotive industry sector glazing. The latter is continually growing due to the significant advantages which plastic material offers: low weight, three-dimensional component design and high integration potential. These applications require adaptation of the system design to clean room technology – for us, a frequently defined requirement. You can't think of food packaging without thinking of plastic film. Packaging material must meet several complex requirements. It must be appealing to the customer, and at the same time it must protect the merchandise from environmental influences. Motan offers specific solutions – not only for film extrusion but for the manufacture of PET preforms. The Motan PETtec system is specifically designed for demanding PET applications such as mineral water and soft drink bottles, medicine bottles and similar PET packaging. PETtec meets the highest standards for product purity and durability while guaranteeing low energy consumption through Motan's unique ETA-process®. Even with varying material throughputs, the system is self-optimising. Through automatic adjustments of the relevant drying parameters, it meets the prerequisites for an energy-saving and material-protective process. Incidentally, these characteristics are used in other applications of plastic processing and are an essential element for optimum processing of raw materials. When manufacturing profiles, cables and fibres (and in most extrusion applications) the main focus lies in dosing and mixing of virgin, regrind or flakes as well as additives of all kind. It goes without saying that cost-optimised manufacturing of end products is accompanied with a continually growing percentage of regrind materials and other recycled products. This results in inferior flow properties and heavily varying bulk densities, which significantly influence the conveying and dosing equipment technology. Therefore, it is essential that the entire product range is geared to these requirements. Eventually, this results in a widespread product range - most of which you can see at the Motan stand starting with a small additive dosing unit, and completing the range, a sophisticated continuous dosing system.
