Morssinkhof - Rymoplast: Expansion of PET recycling in Belgium

According to their LinkedIn profile Morssinkhof - Rymoplast is expanding their PET recycling activities in Belgium with the official opening of MOPET Belgium in Neufchâteau.

As stated by the company the new facility can recycle up to 40 000 tonnes of PET per year, processing transparent and opaque PET bottles as well as PET trays into high-quality recycled material for new food packaging.

Building on their many years of experience in bottle-to-bottle recycling, MOPET Belgium expands the firms capabilities with tray-to-tray recycling and new food-grade applications for opaque PET bottles, helping them to keep even more valuable materials in circulation.

Circularity at this scale does not happen through one company or one technology alone. It takes:

  • Cooperation across the value chain,
  • Creativity to find new solutions,
  • Courage to invest in the future and
  • common sense to turn ambitious ideas into industrial reality.

MOPET Belgium creates around 90 new jobs and provides a strong platform for further development in PET recycling technologies.
