The comany states that their mission is to play part in solving the low recycling rates that exist in both the USA (29%) and Europe (51%).
In the current process, it takes 5 rPET bottles to make one eyewear.
All products are designed with durable material through an innovative upcycling process and the high-quality sunglasses are biodegradable and have 100 % UVA/UVB protection and their cleaning cloths and cases are made from recycled material as well.
Furthermore all lenses used on MITA's optical styles are biodegradable.
