With its current innovations, the CapWatcher III stays on the top of the list of closure vision inspection systems
In its third generation the well-established system inspects closures in an extremely quick and accurate way. The CapWatcher uses six cameras and is able to inspect up to 252,000 closures per hour due to the newly designed handling system. As an additional benefit, the system incorporates a microhole inspection that is correlated to specific cavity numbers, by means of a special object separation device on its unique double track conveyor.
Two optional features now take the system to an even higher level.
The first feature, a print extension, enables the system to inspect the head plate area for any print or engraving defects, in addition to all other common defect types. Even the finest color streaks that may occur after a color change can be detected with this setup.
The second newly developed feature is the optional air diverter. It feeds the good parts to the packaging station in an innovative and space-saving way. The diverter is placed in a more flexible angle relative to the CapWatcher, in order to reduce the length of the system by up to 0.5 meters. In addition, the air diverter helps to convey the parts over great height differences within at a more confined space.
The CapWatcher can be used inline but also offline for a follow-up inspection of closure batches in combination with a bunker, sorter and octabin filler.
