“At interpack, we are demonstrating how packaging design can actively support recycling systems rather than disrupt them,” said Reinhard Streit, Group Vice President Food & Beverage Global at CCL Label. “Solutions such as transparent or white EcoFloat shrink sleeves and WashOff labels are engineered with precise material behavior in mind—density, shrink performance, and clean separation—so that brands can achieve strong shelf impact while improving recyclate quality at scale.”
At the show, CCL Label will spotlight three advanced solution areas that help brands meet recycling targets, regulatory eco-design requirements and consumer expectations without compromising premium looks or functional performance:
EcoFloat® Shrink Sleeves — Engineered for Recycling and Brand Impact
CCL Label’s iconic EcoFloat® shrink sleeves are engineered from a low-density polyolefin (PO) material that enables automatic separation during PET recycling. In sink-float recycling operations, the heavier PET bottle fragments sink while the EcoFloat material floats, allowing clean separation and high-quality PET recyclate for bottle-to-bottle reuse – closing the loop. It is approved by recyclers and endorsed by RecyClass in Europe and APR in the USA for PET recycling streams and also HDPE and PP streams.
