Husky Injection Molding Systems today announced that it is experiencing substantial growth in Latin America, with a double digit increase in sales over last year led with strong growth in sales of PET preform molds and injection molding systems.
As a result of this success and to support future growth, Husky is expanding its local presence with further investment in the region. This will allow Husky to improve local customer support and better react to the needs of this growing market.
Husky has expanded its services at the Mexico Technical Center with increased mold refurbishing and preform prototyping capabilities, as well as machine training for customers in Spanish. In Brazil, Husky will be increasing capacity at its Technical Center for PET mold refurbishing and hot runner manufacturing with the addition of a machining center, as well as a hot runner temperature controller assembly.
Husky is currently hiring additional service technicians in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela and Argentina. These new team members will further strengthen Husky’s industry-leading Latin American Service and Sales network.
Husky will also be hosting a series of customer events in both Mexico and Brazil. The fourth annual PET conference in Brazil is scheduled to take place in November 2008 and Husky Mexico’s PET and Closures conference will be taking place in March 2009.
