The independent assessment confirmed that CPET trays can be recycled just as effectively as APET trays. Recycled PET from CPET food trays can go back into production as a valuable material without reducing the quality or performance of new products. This milestone underscores Faerch’s ongoing commitment to demonstrate that food packaging can achieve true circularity.
Building on MAPET II certification
Earlier this year Faerch’s MAPET II trays were also awarded an independent recyclability certificate from cyclos-HTP, rated at 98–99% recyclable.
With CPET now also certified, Faerch expands its portfolio of accredited circular materials. These certifications demonstrate the company’s strong commitment to recyclability and support compliance with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations, helping customers meet both sustainability targets and regulatory requirements. As a recognised benchmark for recyclability across Europe, they also provide assurance and consistency across the industry.
