The European Plastics Converters Association (EuPC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Erich Cuaz as its new Director General, effective 1 September 2026.

Erich Cuaz joins the Association with extensive experience in public affairs, communications and sustainability. He brings a wealth of expertise, strategic insight and a deep understanding of the European policy and regulatory landscape, acquired through senior roles within trade associations, as well as in corporate environments. His experience will be particularly valuable at a pivotal period for the plastics converting sector and for Europe, marked by intensifying global competition, regulatory transformation and the need to accelerate investment in innovation and circularity.

In his new role as Director General, Erich will lead the Brussels office and work closely with EuPC President Jean-Marc Galvez, the Board, EuPC members and national networks across Europe to co-develop and implement the Association’s strategy, and advance a clear, forward-looking agenda focused on a competitive, innovative and sustainable environment for the plastics converting industry. This includes strengthening the industry's collective voice, supporting science-based and pragmatic policies, and creating the conditions for continued investment, innovation and circularity in Europe.

Commenting on his appointment, Erich Cuaz said:

“I feel honoured to take on the role of Director General of EuPC at a pivotal time for both the plastics converting sector and the European Union. His appointment will further strengthen EuPC’s ability to bring our members together, increase the sector’s influence and visibility, and build strong and effective networks across Europe. I look forward to working closely with Erich to ensure our industry has a strong, coordinated voice and to advance practical solutions that support both Europe’s sustainability ambitions and the competitiveness of its manufacturing base.”
Erich Cuaz will also lead Polymer Comply Europe (PCE), further strengthening the alignment between EuPC’s activities and PCE’s expertise in Regulatory Compliance, Association Management, and Projects & Studies.
