Compounds and masterbatches will be the main topic of the Coperion Open House in Stuttgart/Germany on January 28 and 29, 2009. The special highlights of the event will be:
- state-of-the-art processing technology with specific reference to the ZSK MEGAcompounder PLUS high-performance compounding system as well as current trends in optimizing technology for specific applications,
- lecture on Climate Change and Resource Efficiency – Opportunities for Plastics by Dr. Peter Orth, Executive Director of PlasticsEurope Deutschland e.V., Frankfurt/Main, and
- a practical demonstration of the innovative ROC-ColorControl process in Coperion's Compounding Test Lab. As the results of the color scanning process are available within only a few minutes, the desired color shade of the compound can be obtained in a relatively short time and will remain constant during subsequent production within extremely close tolerances.
The Competence Center Compounding & Extrusion, formerly Werner & Pfleiderer, cordially invites all interested persons from the entire plastics industry to participate.
Also on the program of the Coperion Open House are lectures to be given both by visiting experts and by Coperion's own experts on such topics as, for example, future trends, opportunities and innovations both for compounds with the widest diversity of reinforcing fillers and functional additives, including nanoparticles, and for masterbatches. Innovative solutions to problems encountered with the compounding of engineering plastics will be explained in detail. Such solutions are based not least on the four years' experience gained with the ZSK MEGAcompounder PLUS and on the more recent developments in machine and control technology. Additional points of interest will be the vast savings achievable with the ROCColorControl process and the special customer benefits of modular compounding lines pretested prior to delivery and installed on the customer's premises on a turnkey basis. A panel discussion will serve to encourage the exchange of ideas and experiences between participants, for which plenty of time has been planned throughout the entire event.
