At ICE 2009 Brückner Maschinenbau GmbH & Co KG, Siegsdorf, presentslatest technologies for the production of Cast Polypropylene films (CPP) forflexible and PET Sheet for rigid packaging.
High performance CPP lines
Brückner CPP lines allow for the production of films from 3.2 m to 6 m net.With outputs from 1,100 to 2,500 kg/h these lines guarantee highestproductivity. Special chill roll technology, a unique integrated pull-roll andthe proven Brückner jumbo turret winder with patented LIWIND® system aswell as the patented TCE die bolt control (Thickness Control with Evolution)assure that films meet the highest quality standards and perform excellentlyin the subsequent processing steps. The safety concept defines a newindustry standard for the safe operation of CPP machinery. CPP is used inthe growing markets of food packaging, lamination and metallization.
Cast PET sheet lines
The special feature of Brückner’s Cast PET Sheet technology is the use ofan electrostatic pinning wire instead of a nip roll, to fix the melt curtainagainst cooling rolls of diameters up to 2,400 mm. With this technology filmin a range of 125 μm to 1,000 μm can be extruded at widths of up to 2,000mm at extremely high line speeds resulting in net outputs of 5,000 kg/h –an enormous advantage in productivity compared to roll-stack lines. PETsheet is mainly used for thermoforming trays and in Form-Fill-Sealapplications.
PET Sheet lines for A-PET and PET-G
In the conventional production method for PET Sheet, the 3-roll stack,Brückner is offering roll face widths of 1,400 mm to 2,700 mm and outputsfrom 1,000 kg/h to 2,500 kg/h. The patented JUBO polishing roll features amaintenance free system to adjust the crowning during production andpolish films down to 125μm and below. Energy efficient processing of undriedPET virgin material and PCR flakes is a further core competency ofBrückner in this field.
