The PET can from ALPLA and CCL Label combines the advantages of transparent plastic and the look of metal. It does not require a BPA-containing epoxy coating on the inside, is recyclable and can be integrated into existing PET filling lines. The stackable 0.33-litre bottle in can format also scores visually with its 360-degree decoration surface in the form of a shrink sleeve, silver effect and mirror finish.
With the PET can, the two internationally active packaging specialists offer a safe, cost-efficient and future-proof solution for beverage manufacturers. It enriches the range and supports the changeover of the containers. Since July 2026, many food packaging containing bisphenol – especially disposable packaging – may no longer be placed on the market in the EU.
As specialists, ALPLA and CCL Label can quickly scale production and thus ensure product availability. "A beverage can may just as well be made of plastic. Our PET can relies on the well-known material properties of transparent PET, which have proven themselves on the market, strengthens the supply chain and can highlight special products as a novelty," says Daniel Lehner, Global Sales Director Food & Beverage at ALPLA.
