The business will now operate under the newly created legal entity of “Alpek Polyester UK Ltd.”
The Wilton site is the first Alpek Polyester PET production facility outside of the Americas. It expands our global PET capacity to over 2.8 million tons across 6 countries and 15 facilities with over 4,800 dedicated employees.
Alpek Polyester is committed to continuing on-site operations, while focusing on meeting and exceeding the needs of our customers and the PET market in general.
Alpek Polyester announced today that it has completed the acquisition of a polyethylene terephthalate (“PET”) production facility in Wilton, United Kingdom, formerly owned by the Lotte Chemical Corporation and known as Lotte Chemical UK Limited.
