In 2018, Megaplast invested in a small CYPET K series single-stage injection stretch blow molding machine. The K16’s exceptional flexibility immediately improved their operations. By keeping the same cavitation across formats and simply changing mold parts, the team can switch between 15 different jars and bottles — ranging from 200 ml to 4.5 L — in approximately two hours with just one person. This capability allows Megaplast to run small batches economically on a single machine while maintaining consistent quality across PET containers. The machine’s ability to make a wide range of PET containers, combined with its dual use as a standard injection molding machine when blowing functions are disabled, has significantly de-risked the investment and ensured high utilization even during fluctuating demand.
