A decades-long success story
The first two machines were delivered in the 1990s to a Thai customer who has remained loyal to ARBURG to this day. In 1992, a representative office was opened in Thailand. The local presence and the importance of the South-East Asian market grew steadily, leading to the establishment of a dedicated ARBURG organisation in Thailand in 2001. Khun Ratree Boonsay, who had previously headed the representative office, took over as Managing Director. In 2019, the subsidiary moved to its current location in Samut Prakarn, a suburb of Bangkok. Covering 705 square metres, this is ARBURG’s largest showroom in South-East Asia. The ARBURG Thailand team now comprises ten employees.
