In preparation for this comPETence issue, THREE:23, we had no less than three fascinating meetings with companies that were in different market positions as part of their corporate development and success stories.
Two companies from the field of PET injection molding technology are in a kind of pioneering mood or a new spirit of optimism, and we met for a joint meeting. One a system developer, the other a PET preform producer. What’s special: Both companies benefit from this phase of corporate development and spoke openly with us about their win-win situation. – We are talking about Otto Systems, Switzerland, and RAWOPLAST, Germany.
Shortly before the official celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the company M. Tanner AG, we visited Marco Tanner, for twelve years CEO of M. Tanner AG and son of the company founders. Both through our conversation and the company tour in the new halls near Winterthur, Switzerland, we gained a deep insight - into what the Tanner claim actually means: The World of Preform Handling. Entrepreneurship and how to expand your business was also the topic of our meeting with the teams from Starlinger viscotec and Starlinger recycling technology. “In the beginning, recycling technology was considered a “hobby” of our late boss,” Paul Niedl, Commercial Head of Starlinger recycling technology, told us, and he also spoke about the initially rather critical voices in the company. In fact, the entrepreneur demonstrated outstanding foresight back then and was already convinced of recycling in the 1980s. Today, recycling systems are developed at Starlinger in a separate business area. Another example of strategic corporate development.
