The new brand.
The introduction of the new image of the Group reflects the growth and innovation process that has been going through a consolidation phase in recent years. The name Wisecap® is the expression of the experience gained in the production of plastic caps for the Beverage industry, with over 40 years of presence on the markets and continuous investments in innovation and technology.
A path of continuous growth.
Established in the 70s as an active industry in the production of various kinds of plastic items, it subsequently specialized in products intended for food contact such as cutlery, plates, trays, glasses and base-cups for PET bottles. In the 90s, CDS enters the segment of plastic caps for plastic bottles. In 2007, with the acquisition of Viroplastic Beverage based in Calenzano Italy, CDS becomes a major player at a national level. In 2013, with the acquisition of Viroplastic CZ in Czech Republic, Wisecap® enters the European market with a further increase of its manufacturing capabilities. In 2017, with the entry into the share capital of the Private Equity fund Taste of Italy and the acquisition of Manufacturas Inplast, Spanish market leader in the same core business of CDS, the Group consolidates itself as a European reference in the supply of plastic closures.
In the early days of 2021, despite the global pandemic, Viki Plast, a manufacturer of caps for water cooler dispensers based in Poland, joins the Group: this acquisition is part of the strategic plan targeting market expansion and diversification of the Wisecap® Group.
