P.E.T. Engineering wins for the third time the Packaging Oscar after the editions of 2011 and 2013, where participated with eco-friendly, lightweight and recycled PET projects.

The award ceremony, which took place on May 20 at Ipack - Ima, rewarded six companies in the "Technology" section, the main theme of the contest this year, and awarded three special mentions: Environment, subject of the Oscars in 2013, Quality Design, theme of the 2014 edition, and the Overall Award.

P.E.T. Engineering, having reached the final with Vitasnella in 2014, right in the competition which had as its main theme the Quality Design, was awarded the Special Prize for Devin - Crystal Line, the PET bottle already winner at the Beverage Innovation Awards in the category Best Bottle in PET and finalist in the Luxury Packaging Award, the only PET bottle in glass among glass bottles dedicated to premium products.

The panel of judges for the Packaging Oscars 2015, chaired by Professor Luciano Piergiovanni, DeFENS, University of Milan, selected 9 winners following the requirements of the Ethical Packaging Charter which will be presented for the first time at Ipack - Ima.

With the Quality Design award, the judges wanted to recognise the design quality of the packaging, with reference to the balance and harmony of the functional, structural and communicative dimensions.

For the judges of the competition, which has now reached its 57th edition, P.E.T Engineering was successful in using a material which is traditionally used for large-scale retail products to communicate elegance and fine quality in producing an alternative packaging for the HO.RE.CA sector.

Lightweight, unbreakable and economic as a PET bottle, precious, refined and brilliant as a glass bottle, Devin has allowed us to bring PET into little-explored territories, opening up new horizons for this type of plastic.

P.E.T. Engineering would like to thank Novapet, the company who supplied P.E.T Engineering with the Glasstar resin, Design Board International for the label design and Retal for supplying the preforms.
