What is the difference between infrared and near infrared waves? Infrared light we feel as heat. Near infrared does not emit any heat. We can´t sense it. Waves penetrate deep into the material and heat them, while less energy consumed. This feature is key to get geometrically correct bottles at high speed.

The last generation of PET Technologies linear SBM machines APF-Max is equipped with NIR (near infrared) heating system. The importance of this factor is growing with the bottle design complexity.

What are the fruits of NIR heating system implemented at APF-Max blow molder? Definitely, it is high speed and reduced energy consumption. Thus, the installed power of linear APF-Max 8 is only 140 kW. It is 8-cavity machine with output 14 000 bph, 0.2 – 2.0 l. <s> </s>

Intense heating reduces the time the preform stays at the preform. Thus the heater itself and total dimensions the stretch blow molder APF-Max are compact. The all-electric machine is easy to transport by land and by sea to five continents. 6 servo drives provide blow molding process stability.

What is the impact each of us can feel? On the one hand, we get reduced bills for electricity monthly. The profit increases. On the other hand, less power consumed, less toxic fumes released. It makes the planet healthier and reserves natural eco-system. 100% recyclable PET containers contribute to it.
