The Greiner Group has two Board of Directors members again as of January 1 2010

Prime focus on Board of Directors successionDkfm. Dr. Peter Greiner returned temporarily to the Greiner Group Board of Directors in fall 2008. His focus was on ensuring management continuity and selecting a second Board of Directors member to serve with Dr. Axel Greiner. For the first time in the 140 year company history a Board of Directors member was appointed who was not a Greiner family member. Dipl.-Bw. Axel Kühner joined the Board of Directors on 1 April 2009. Dkfm. Dr. Peter Greiner supported the new Board of Directors duo until the end of 2009 as a third member of the Board bringing in his decades of business experience to this role. Board of Directors and Supervisory Board as of 01.01.2010Sole management responsibility for the Greiner Group will be in the hands of Dr. Axel Greiner and Dipl.-Bw. Axel Kühner from the start of 2010. The Supervisory Board of the two holding companies of the Greiner Group, Greiner Holding AG and Greiner Bio-One International AG as of 01.01.2010 will be comprised of: Dkfm. Dr. Peter Greiner, DDr. Wolfgang Wiesner, Dkfm. Erich Gebhardt, Dipl.-Bw. Ing. Kurt Greiner, Mag. Claus Peter Bernhardt, Dkfm. Hans-Jürgen Schirmer, DI Dr. Ernst Bachner, DI Dr. Klaus Schützdeller. He returns as planned to the Supervisory Board from the start of 2010. The Board of Directors duo Dr. Axel Greiner and Dipl.-Bw. Axel Kühner are to direct the fortunes of the Corporate Group from this time forwards. Dkfm. Dr. Peter Greiner took over his management role from his father Hellmut in 1977 – initially as CEO in the Greiner family enterprise. He set decisive impulses for changes in the firm and coordinated important expansion strides. During the 1980s he successfully united the then separate German and the Austrian Greiner companies. During his era at the helm the Greiner Group increased turnover more than ten fold. Dkfm. Dr. Peter Greiner moved to the Supervisory Board in 2003. He was Chairman of the Supervisory Board until fall 2008.
